A Question of Justice?

Recently, here in our city, some young women of theMuslim faith were not allowed to participate in a soccer tournament because they were wearing the traditional head scarf (hijab) that is part of the practice of their faith.

Our Faith Teaches that:
SolidarityWe are our brothers' and sisters' keepers, wherever they live. We are one human family, whatever our national, racial, ethnic, economic, and ideological differences. Learning to practice the virtue of solidarity means learning that "loving our neighbor" has global dimensions in an interdependent world.

Write a three to five paragraph response describing your thoughts on this subject. How do you feel about this incident and how it was handled? Consider how you would respond if it had been you in a similar circumstance -- banned because you were practicing your faith...
